Mrs. Irene K. DeMarco's Obituary
Mrs. Irene K. DeMarco, age 70, passed away Wednesday, May 06, 2015 in Muskegon. She was born in Grand Haven, MI on December 17, 1944 to Lawrence and Nora (Rosema) DeYoung. Irene had worked at Gardner Denver for 20 years and then Consumers Energy for 20 years before retiring in 2007. She was a member of Fruitport Congregational United Church of Christ. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking, and studying and trading stocks. On February 13, 1970, Irene married Joseph DeMarco in Muskegon and he survives her along with one son, Tony (Yavette Medema) Olechnowicz; one step-daughter, Rhonda Lowing; six grandchildren, Kelsi, Nathan, Jessica, Tara, Leah and Garrett; one great-granddaughter, Sophie; and one brother, Melvin DeYoung. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at Fruitport Congregational United Church of Christ (9 S. 8th Ave., Fruitport, MI 49415) with Rev. Don Wood officiating.
