Mrs. Irene Elvie Fricke's Obituary
Mrs. Irene Elvie Fricke, age 95, passed away December 19, 2012. Irene was born in Ludington on June 12, 1917 to Walter and Hazel (Schumacher) Nelson. On August 18, 1934 she married Richard F. Fricke who preceded her in death in 2007. She worked as a beautician and owned her own business for 30 years. Irene enjoyed golfing, dancing, and cooking fabulous meals. She also enjoyed the 20 years her and Richard spent in Florida during the winter. Irene is SURVIVED by her children, Phillis Baas of Kalamazoo, Fred (Glenda) Fricke of Kalamazoo, Dick (Sharon) Fricke of Gobles, Helen (Larry) Rozneck of Grand Haven, Bruce (Tammy) Fricke of Kalamazoo; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; and sister, Angie. She was PRECEDED in death by her parents; husband, Richard; infant son, Robert; son-in-law, Gerald Baas; and 3 brothers. The FUNERAL service will be 2 PM Saturday, December 22, 2012 at The Walburn Chapel, 1547 West Sherman Boulevard, (231) 759-8565. There will be a VISITATION 6-8 PM Friday December 21, 2012 at the Walburn Chapel.
