Ms. Irene Jensen's Obituary
Ms. Irene Jensen, age 72, passed away Sunday afternoon, November 10, 2019. She was born September 10, 1947 in Muskegon to Russell and Lillie (Conran) Drake. Irene had worked as a cook at the Cozy Corner Cafe for 17 years before her retirement in 2009. Earlier on, she had worked with Loreen Industries. Irene was a member of City Heart Ministries, (formerly Hope Lighthouse Church). She enjoyed arts and crafts, spending time on the computer and trips to the casino. She was very much loved by her family and will be missed by her sister, Sandra (Lowell) McGraw; brothers, Joseph (Dixie) Drake and Steven (Thelma) Drake; her sister by choice, Eva Eacker; and many nieces and nephews. Irene was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Russell Robert Drake and James Allen Drake. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, November 15, 2019 at The Sytsema Chapel, 737 Apple Ave, Muskegon, MI 49442, 231-726-5210 with Pastor Doug Malear officiating. Visitation will be Thursday evening, November 14, 2019, from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. Interment in Sunrise Memorial Gardens. Memorial Contributions may be made to The Harbor Hospice Foundation.
