Mrs. Irene Barbara McClary's Obituary
Mrs. Irene Barbara McClary, age 90, passed away early Wednesday morning, April 27, 2016 at an area nursing home. Irene was born February 28, 1926 in Cedar, MI to Bernard and Lucille (Galla) Peplinski. On July 29, 1946, she married Edwin McClary in Cedar, Michigan and he preceded her in death in 2010. Irene was a nature lover who loved song birds. She was a wonderful homemaker, baked delicious pies, and was a very good grandma. Irene was also a long time member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Spring Lake. She is survived by her children, Patricia (Patrick) Kinney of Norton Shores, Marcia (Terry) VanSlyke of Spring Lake, and Kevin (Mary Kay) McClary of Ft. Meyers, FL; 10 grandchildren; 7 great- grandchildren; a brother, Edward (Beatrice) Peplinski of Maple City, MI; a sister, Theresa (Leonard) Schaub of Cedar, MI; She was also preceded in death by her parents, 5 sisters and 4 brothers. THE MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, May 7, 2016 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Spring Lake, 406 E. Savidge St. with Rev Fr. Dave Gross presiding. VISITATION will be Friday evening from 5-8 pm at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St. 231-798-100 with the Rosary being prayed at 7:30 PM. Interment will be made in Lakeshore Cemetery. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS may be made to Hospice of Michigan.
