Irene Rosetta Mae Bordeaux's Obituary
Mrs. Irene Bordeaux, age 96, died Sunday, December 21, 2003 in Muskegon. She was born on March 25, 1907 in Antrim County, MI to Lyman & Rosetta Mae (Wilson) Smith, and had resided in the Muskegon area since she was 15 years old. Mrs. Bordeaux was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church since 1952. In 1926, she married Romuald J. Bordeaux, Sr., and he preceded her in death on October 16, 1973. SURVIVORS include 5 sons, Richard Bordeaux, Sr. of Fremont, Leo Bordeaux, Sr. of Muskegon, Edwin (Bessie) Bordeaux of Arizona, Robert L. (Dianne) Bordeaux of Muskegon, and Thomas M. (Sharon) Bordeaux of Tennessee; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; daughter-in-law Mary Bordeaux of Grand Rapids; 1 sister, Clara Morton of Muskegon; sister-in-law, Mary Cartwright, and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Bordeaux was also preceded in death by 1 son, Romuald Bordeaux; 1 brother, Seward Smith; and 3 sisters, Salome Smith, Pearl Walker, and Naomi Larabee. THE MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be 11 AM Friday at St. Thomas Catholic Church. VISITATION will be today from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at
