Iris L. Hambleton age 87, of Ravenna, Mi died Friday, March 7, 2014 at Sanctuary at the Park in Muskegon with her loving family at her side. Iris was born on July 9, 1926 in Muskegon, Michigan to the late Benjamin G. and Pearl B. Read Obituary
So sorry to hear of Iris' passing- she was a grand lady with a kind word for everyone. She had a wonderful sense of humor and was a great asset in our 4H club many years ago, instigating many sleepovers and sledding parties for our club. She will be missed deeply.
Laura, Dave, and Perry...What can we say other than we are truly sorry for your loss of one of the greatest Ladies I have ever met. Your mother has been in our lives for a number of years starting with teaching Sunday school and continuing on all the way through adulthood. What a women she was. Her passion for the love of God and the church family is one that all should try to follow in her footsteps. She Will be greatly missed but one should not be sad in a time of this but should rejoice as She is in Heaven with your Dad and Her soulmate now looking down on all of us watching over and proctecting us with her angels.

My sincere condolences to Mrs. Hambleton's family. Mrs. Hambleton was my Home Economics teacher at Fruitport Junior High in the early 1950s. I still have many of the recipes we made in those classes. She was a fine teacher.
