Irma E. Carr's Obituary
Mrs. Irma E. Carr, age 87, passed away Wednesday, October 17, 2007 at a local hospital. She was born January 30, 1920 in Mohawk, MI to Matthew and Edla (Kivela) Ollila. For 13 years she worked at North Shore Mental Health as a dietitian. She was a member of Holton United Methodist Church and a member of Holton Ladies Aid. She was a loving mother and grandmother; she loved flowers and had a talent for knitting and crocheting that blessed many, and will be missed. On August 15, 1942 she married Charles E. Carr in Detroit, MI and he preceded her in death on August 30, 1997. She is survived by 3 children; Bruce (Phyllis) Carr of Twin Lake, Mike (Debbie) Carr of Muskegon and Rex (Debbie) Carr of N. Muskegon, 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by 1 brother, Wesley Ollila of Aura, MI. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Charlene Carr in 1993, her brother, Edwin Ollila and her sister, Helen Stein. A Memorial Service will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, October 20, 2007 at Holton United Methodist Church with Pastor Jerry Selleck officiating. Visitation with the family will be 1 hour prior to the service.
