Ivora M. Rop's Obituary
Ivora M. (Kitchen) Rop, mother of Dianne Elders (Jerry) and Janice Shinske (David), was taken to her eternal home on Feb. 23, 2006, where arthritis crippling and loss of sight are no more. God's abundant grace allowed her to enjoy 94 1/2 years with us, her 6 granddaughters (and spouses) and 13 great-grandchildren, all of whom were greatly influenced by her dependence upon the Lord for her strength and ability to be joyful in afflictions. Romans 12:12 is her legacy to all who loved and cherished her. Also surviving are her sisters-in-law: Helen (Conrad) Brandsen and Betty Havermans. Ernest Rop, her husband of 62 years, went to be with the Lord in 2003.
SERVICES will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, 2006, at the Sytsema Funeral Home, 737 Apple Ave., Muskegon, MI. Visitation one hour prior to the service (2-3). Pastor Robert Bierenga officiating. Memorial Gifts to either Western Michigan Christian High School or The Christian Rest Home, 1000 Edison, G.R., MI. 49502.
