Jack L. Buit's Obituary
Jack L. Buit, age 79 of Norton Shores, met his Lord and Savior on Thursday, May 14, 2020. He was born on January 6, 1941 to Theodore and Felicia (Josefowicz) Buit in Muskegon, MI. He was employed at Muskegon Camshaft and Kaydon Corporation where he retired after 37 years. On March 25, 1961, he married his high school sweetheart and the love of his life. Together they cherished 59 years of marriage full of love and laughter. He was a life member at the Muskegon Elks Lodge # 274. He had a love for the outdoors and being on the water. He had a passion for boating and he and Donna spent a lot of time boating on his pride and joy, “Toy-Yot.” Along the way, Jack made many dear boating friends. After retiring, they spent winters at their home in Naples, Florida and he cherished the friends they made there. He was a kind and loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend and will be forever missed and never forgotten. He is survived by his wife, Donna Buit; 2 children, Lori (Ted) Goosen and Ronald Buit; 3 grandchildren, Bradley Goosen, Blake Goosen and Corey (Dan) Tucci; 3 great-grandchildren, Dominic “Lincoln” Tucci, Sophie Tucci, and Layla Goosen. He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Marcia Swanson; and brother, Ted Buit. Due to the COVID-19 virus and social distancing, a private family graveside service will be held on Wednesday, May 20, 2020.
