Jack V. Cooper's Obituary
Jack V. Cooper, age 83 was born September 17, 1935 in Shelby, Michigan and passed away on December 22, 2018. Jack was born to the late Burton H. Cooper and Ruby M. Cooper. Survivors include brother, Burton F. (Rosalind) Cooper, nieces, Michelle (Chris) Ryan, Julie (Josh) Buckrop; four grandnieces and one grandnephew, Taylor, Zach, Hannah, Valerie and Abby. Jack was a devoted son, brother, brother-in-law, uncle and loved dearly by his family. He valued his many close friends and enjoyed time he spent with them. Jack graduated from Shelby High School, earned a Bachelor degree at Michigan State and Masters at Western Michigan. Jack was a Veteran of the United States Army stationed in Germany. Jack enjoyed teaching at the Mona Shores High School for 31 years and ran the clock for football games for 38 years. He was a lifetime member of Elks and Masonic Lodge. Jack was an avid golfer winning many awards; he also loved reading, playing cards, travel, casinos, football games and spending time with family and friends. According to his wishes, cremation has taken place and no services will be held. If someone wants to donate in his memory, they can give to Mona Shores Educational Foundation.
