Jack C. Cooper's Obituary
Jack C. Cooper, age 86, passed away unexpectedly Thursday November 18, 2021. He was born February 5, 1935 in Muskegon, MI to Jacob and Anna (Johnson) Cooper. Jack was a 1953 graduate of North Muskegon High School. On June 10, 1955, he married his high school sweetheart, the former Doris J. “Duckie” Hooker in Muskegon, she preceded him in death on February 24, 2011. Jack was a self-employed businessman prior to his retirement in 2003. He was a member of Laketon Bethel Reformed Church and enjoyed assisting the Feeding America food trucks at both Laketon Bethel Reformed Church and Fifth Reformed Church. He was an avid antique car collector and enthusiast. Jack was president of MCAAC (Muskegon Country Antique Auto Club) for many years. He also loved driving his pontoon around the lake with his family and many friends. Jack will be greatly missed by all who knew him. SURVIVORS include 3 children: Deb (Dave) Atchison, Kathy Cooper both of North Muskegon, and Scott (Jill) Cooper of Ann Arbor, MI; 7 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Diane Cunningham. SERVICES for Jack will be held 12 Noon Friday, November 26, 2021 at Laketon Bethel Reformed Church (1568 W. Giles Rd.) with the Rev. Dr. Sherwin Brantsen officiating. VISITATION with the family will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place in Laketon Twp. Cemetery. MEMORIALS to Laketon Bethel Reformed Church will be appreciated.
