Mr. Jack M. Hoppus' Obituary
Mr. Jack M. Hoppus, age 84, passed away unexpectedly, surrounded by his wife, Patsy, and their family on Sunday, October 4, 2015. Jack was born May 3, 1931 to William and Hazel (Tobiason) Hoppus in Muskegon. He served his country in the U.S. Navy. On May 13, 1960, Jack married the former Patricia Rohn at St. Luke Lutheran Church in Nunica. He was a master plumber, steamfitter, and boilermaker, a member of Local 174, having worked in the trades for 55 years. Jack was also a member of the V.F.W. Post 3195, Fruitport Eagles, and the Mona Lake Boat Club. He lived to hunt and fish, and was a car enthusiast, with a love for the classic VW Beetle. Jack is survived by his wife of 55 years, Patsy, and Tipper due; his children, Jim (Melinda) Hoppus of Norton Shores, Jack (Leishia) Hoppus of Muskegon, Jill (John) Barnes of Pentwater and Jody (David Gutierrez) Hoppus of Muskegon; 6 grandchildren, Kaleigh and Hannah Hoppus, William and Jeremy Hoppus, John and Jamie Barnes; sister-in-law, Elaine (Bob) Muckey and their children; Billie Joe, Katie and little Tommy, Robbie and Jeff; best friends, Grayle Woodruff and Bergy; and several grand-dogs. He was preceded in death by his parents; twin brother, James Lee Hoppus; and mother and father-in-law, John and Lola Rohn. In accordance with his wishes no services will be held.
