Jack A. Koches' Obituary
Mr. Jack A. Koches, age 94, passed away Friday, September 20, 2019 in Muskegon. He was born on August 22, 1925 in Mishawaka, IN and resided in the Muskegon area since 1956. Jack was a US Army Air Forces Veteran having served his country in World War II. On September 11, 1948, he married the former Donna Rensberger, and together just celebrated 71 years of marriage. Jack graduated from Valparaiso University in 1949 and was a enthusiastic fan of Notre Dame football. He worked at Brunswick for 25 years before retiring in 1979. As an avid aviator, Jack piloted both model and full size airplanes. Proud to be a founding, as well as lifetime, member of the Port City Radio Control Club. Jack and Donna had many adventures flying cross country in their own two-seater. Jack was a member of Central United Methodist Church in Muskegon. SURVIVORS include his wife Donna; two children, John “Kim” (Patricia) Koches of Spring Lake, Kathyrn Koches of Muskegon; four grandchildren, Christopher, Kurt, Jeffrey, and Kimberly; and seven great-grandchildren. Jack was preceded in death by his loving parents, Andrew and Helen (Kesler) Koches. Jack’s cremated remains will be interred in the columbarium at Central United Methodist Church.
