Jack A. Moblo's Obituary
Jack A. Moblo, age 91, passed away Saturday, April 24, 2021. He was born June 20, 1929 in Muskegon to Willard and Alice (Bee) Moblo. Jack graduated from St. Mary’s Catholic High School and on May 7, 1949 he married his 4th grade sweetheart, Vivienne E. Wickstrom, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Downtown Muskegon. Vivienne preceded him in death on April 5, 2013 after 62 years of marriage. Jack was a veteran of the U.S. Navy Reserves and had worked as a lab tech for Brunswick Corporation for 35 years prior to his retirement in 1986. He was a longtime member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. When he was not spending time with his family, you could find him in his wood shop. SURVIVORS include: 7 children, Daniel (Suzanne) Moblo, Mark (Helen) Moblo, Michelle (Richard) Lavery, Annette (Louis) Arcioni, John (Lori) Moblo, Bernadette Ryan, Mary Ann (Donn) Wishka; 21 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; 1 brother: Michael (Mary) Moblo; and 1 sister-in-law, Mary Jo Moblo; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Vivienne Moblo; 2 sons, James and Martin Moblo; his parents; 2 brothers, Robert and Richard Moblo; and 1 sister, Carol Leroux. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 AM Saturday, May 15, 2021 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church with Rev. Charles D. Hall presiding. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to Mass, 10-11AM Saturday at the church. Interment will take place in Lakeside Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be directed to St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church or Harbor Hospice Foundation.
