Jack B. Mosher's Obituary
Jack Bruce Mosher, age 91, passed away in Allendale, MI, on Tuesday, September 24, 2024. He was the son of Vernon and Louise (Eisler) Mosher and was born in St. Johns, Mi. on December 26, 1932. He graduated from St. John’s High School in 1950. He served as a military policeman in the U.S. Army. He married the former Elizabeth “Betty” Toth, and the two of them spent 47 wonderful years together until she preceded him in death in 2008.
Jack was mechanically inclined and a licensed builder; he could fix or build anything. He was a self-employed carpenter for many years before he was hired as a master carpenter for the Ingham Medical Center in Lansing, Mi. He later became a building inspector and ultimately finished his career working for the City of East Lansing, retiring in 2005. In retirement Jack and Betty became full-time RV-ers, traveling throughout the United States in their RV. They eventually settled in Apache Junction, AZ where they were blessed with a community of friends who also loved to RV. Jack loved Jesus, people and polka music. He enjoyed building/flying remote control airplanes, spending time with family and friends, traveling, gardening, and watching MSU Spartans basketball. He was a kind, joyful and loving man.
Jack is survived by his two children: Jennifer (John) Lammers and Kevin (Marcy) Mosher; five grandchildren: Sophia, Sara, Jamie, Kiley (Matthew), and Kelly; great grandchild, Myles; sister, Betty; brother, Larry; and many nieces, nephews, and other extended relatives. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Mosher; son, Jack Mosher Jr and sisters: Joann and Shirley. Jack will be laid to rest with his beloved wife Betty and his son Jack Jr. at the City of Dewitt Cemetery. There will be a celebration of his life. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
