Jack Ogren's Obituary
Mr. Jack Ogren, age 75, passed away Sunday, May 10, 2009 in Muskegon. He was born May 12, 1933 in Muskegon to Ernest and Ruth (Williams) Ogren. He had lived in Muskegon most of his life, but he also lived in Wisconsin and Arizona for over 20 years, moving back to Muskegon in 2001. He served in the U.S. Army. He worked as a personnel manager in multiple facilities over the years. He enjoyed golfing and riding motorcycles. On April 7, 1986 he married Alene Sawyers in Arizona and she preceded him in death in 2001. He is survived by 4 children, Joseph “Mike” (Cathy) Ogren of Muskegon, Brenda Ogren of Spring Lake, Dawn Ogren of Kingman, AZ and Jeffrey Ogren of Kingman, AZ, 5 grandchildren, Mindy (Brian) Orr of Macomb, MI, Jamie (Homer) Decker, Michael Ogren, Amy Depoy and Billy Duck all of Muskegon and 14 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by 1 brother, William “Bill” (Mary) Ogren of Twin Lake, and 1 sister Karen Kendall of Muskegon. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 son, Billy Wayne Ogren and 1 grandson, Joshua Ogren. A Graveside Memorial Service will be held 1:00 PM Friday at Sunrise Memorial Gardens with Pastor Greg VanderMeer officiating. Memorial Contributions may be given to the American Legion.
