Jack Arthur Schulz's Obituary
Mr. Jack Arthur Schulz, age 80, passed away Friday, September 4, 2009 at Harbor Hospice Poppen Residence. He was born August 27, 1929 in Muskegon to Melvin and Grace (Krause) Schulz and lived in the Muskegon area most of his life. On August 27, 1955, he married the former Jean M. Swanson in Muskegon, and she passed away on January 5, 2006. Jack served 30 years in the U.S. National Guard. He worked over 25 years as a development engineer for Teledyne-Continental Motors retiring in 1991 and had also worked for Schulz garage through the years. Jack enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a member of the National Rifle Association and Pheasants Forever. He also enjoyed golfing and spending time with his family. SURVIVORS include 1 son, Stephen Schulz of Norton Shores; 1 grandson, Matthew Schulz of Norton Shores; 4 brothers, Tom (Linda) Schulz of Wausau, WI, Bill (Jean) Schulz, Bob (AnneMarie) Schulz, and Ron Schulz all of Muskegon; 1 sister, Katherine Bolema of Sarasota, FL; 1 brother-in-law, Clyde Schiller of Sarasota, FL; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, Jean, Jack was also preceded in death by 1 daughter, Susan M. Schulz MD in 2002, and 1 sister, Donna Schiller in 2006.
