Jackie Harold's Obituary
Jackie Harold of Montague, Michigan passed away Thursday, August 11th. She was born in Marquette, Michigan to the late Donald O. Crothers, and Janet M. (Lewke) Crothers. Jackie married Michael (Mike) Harold on May 26, 2001. They had been friends for thirteen years prior to marrying, and for 33 years Jackie and Mike enjoyed a beautiful life together.
Jackie graduated from Northern Michigan University with a nursing degree and spent her life working in her chosen profession. A natural caregiver, Jackie began her career at Norlite Nursing Center in Marquette and retired from Norton Family Practice in Muskegon after working there for 20 years. Throughout her career, Jackie considered caring for her patients, her greatest professional accomplishment.
When Jackie didn’t have a book in her hands reading, she was often found in her yard digging in the dirt. To her, gardening was considered the best form of therapy there was. Tending flower gardens and feeding backyard birds brought her many hours of peace and happiness. Jackie enjoyed going on adventures with Mike and found delight in life’s simple pleasures. Her infectious laugh was often heard and is what many who loved her will always remember.
Jackie is preceded in death by her daughter Hillary M. Pickford, her twin sister Roberta (Robert) Priebe, and sister Trisha Crothers. In addition, she is survived by her husband Mike Harold, son Shawn (Angelic) Blume, sisters Treasure (Denver) Harris, Melody (Dale) Miller, Wendy Crothers, and brother Leon (Cindi) Crothers. Jackie is also survived by grandchildren Bethanny and Sadie Blume, Dakota, and Dreyden Pickford and great-grandson Aiden Blume, and many nieces and nephews.
A private family memorial will be held at a later date. Being an organ donor was important to Jackie and she was able to be a donor both in life and after her death. In lieu of flowers, the family would ask you to consider registering to be an organ donor and helping those who are in need.
Jackie will forever be loved and missed. Those who loved Jackie will remember her best by
“And into the garden I go, to lose my mind, and find my soul”
