Jackie "Jack" Leon Novakowski's Obituary
Mr. Jackie Leon “Jack” Novakowski, age 80, passed away on Thursday, March 15, 2018 in Holland, Michigan. He was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan on September 15, 1937 to Leon and Mary Louise (Potter) Novakowski. Jack was employed by Welded Products for 32 years where he worked as a machine operator and retired as Foreman. He enjoyed fishing, yard work, square dancing with his wife, Jackie, and watching TV, especially Gunsmoke. Jack was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. On August 19, 1954, he married the former Jacqueline Palmer and she survives him along with two daughters, Stephanie Vasquez and Mary Workman; two sons, Steven (Leslie) Borgman and Mike (Sue) Novakowski; 13 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Pat (Bob) Sluis and Vickie (Jerry) Tripp. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Ray Novakowski; and sister, Joyce Karlson. According to Jack’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial mass will be held at a later date.
