Jackie A. Longoria's Obituary
Jackie A. Longoria, age 54, passed away one day shy of her 55th birthday on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, in Chicago, IL surrounded by her loving family after courageously battling Mesothelioma. She was born on November 13, 1969, to John and Judith (Bouton) Kalman Sr., in Muskegon, MI. She graduated from Spring Lake High School class of 1988. On June 10, 1989, she married the love of her life, Daniel Longoria in Twin Lake, MI. Together the couple cherished 35 years full of love, laughter and endless camping trips. Jackie was a dedicated employee of Speedway holding the position of store manager. She was a gifted cook, skilled in sewing and a fashionista. Jackie had a passion for the outdoors and the simplistic beauty nature had to offer. She loved bird watching and recently took to fishing. What she loved most was spending time with Dan either at their lake house, which was a lifelong dream of hers, or camping all around Michigan with him. Above all, she cherished the moments spent with her family and thought the world of her grandchildren. Jackie was naturally determined and strong-willed, and maintained her positive outlook on life, even during her diagnosis. She was known for her generosity and willingness to go above and beyond for anyone and everyone. Jackie was a fun-loving and outgoing spirit who loved unconditionally. She will be remembered most a loving wife, wonderful daughter, amazing mom and doting grandma. Jackie will be sorely missed by the many who knew and loved her. She is survived by her loving husband, Daniel Longoria Sr.; two sons, Daniel (Stephanie) Longoria Jr. and Christopher Longoria; four grandchildren, Daniel III, Noah, Morgen and Raelynn; mother, Judith Vanarnam; brother, Jeremy Kalman; sister, Jennelle (Toby) Roels; brother-in-law, Brian Cupp; numerous nieces and nephews; and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her father, John Kalman Sr; and sister, Jody Cupp. A Celebration of Jackie’s Life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444 with visitation one-hour prior. Memorial Contributions in her honor can be directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
