Jack L. Burgess' Obituary
Mr. Jack L. Burgess, age 68, died Sunday, November 12, 2006 in Muskegon. He was born on April 27, 1938 in Muskegon to Howard and Lena (Jannenga) Burgess, and had resided in the area for most of his life. Jack was in the US Air Force Veteran, having served in the Vietnam War. He then taught at Baker College for 30 years, retiring in 1996. SURVIVORS include 2 daughters, Shelly (Brian) Burgess-Delma of New Albany, OH, and Christine (Michael) Burgess-Marrell of Worthington, OH; 6 grandchildren, Tessa, Cody, Rory, Connor, Casey, and Chloe; 3 siblings, Dorothy, Jerry, and Pat; and the Black and VanderStelt families. Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Lena; and brother, Robert. MEMORIAL SERVICES will be 1 PM Friday at The Sytsema Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 737 Apple Ave. 231-726-5210 with Pastor Eric Strattan officiating.
