Jack L. Landstrom's Obituary
Mr. Jack L. Landstrom, age 86, passed away Friday, May 28, 2010 at Great Lakes Specialty in Muskegon. He was born on May 12, 1924 to Oscar and Jessie (Burns) Landstrom in Royal Oak, MI, and resided in the Muskegon area since 1975. Mr. Landstrom was a member of Fruitport Bethel Baptist Church. In earlier years he was Captain of the Christian Service Brigade at Fellowship Baptist Church in Ferndale, MI. He worked as an account representative for Great Lakes Petroleum until his retirement in 2007. He also was a member of the Detroit Oilman’s Club. In his spare time, he enjoyed golfing and coached his boy’s in T-ball growing up. He married the former Shirley Ravenscroft in 1947, and she survives him along with 3 children, Mark (Pamela) Landstrom of Rochester Hills, Craig Landstrom of Saranac, MI and Kirk (Edith) of Madison Heights, MI; 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Mr. Landstrom was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Elizabeth Landstrom and brother, William Landstrom. FUNERAL SERVICE will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at Fruitport Bethel Baptist Church (213 Oak Street) with Pastor Steve Worth officiating. VISITATION with the family will be 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM Monday (Memorial Day) at the church. MEMORIALS to the church would be appreciated.
