Jack R. Constant's Obituary
Jack Robert Constant, age 85, of Grand Haven passed away unexpectedly Monday, May 1, 2006, at his home. He was born May 16, 1920 in Grand Haven to Cornelius “Casey” and Anna (Korf) Constant in Grand Haven, MI. Jack was preceded in death by his first wife, Marcella (Van Wieren) in January 1977; and by his second wife, Agnes (Solman) in September 1994. Jack served in the Army during WWII and was formerly an electrical design engineer for Lear Siegler, retiring in 1982. He was a member of the American Legion-Charles Conklin Post 28 of Grand Haven. Jack was an avid golfer and former member of the Grand Haven Golf Club; and was most recently active with the Terre Verde Golf Club where he shot a hole-in-one at the age of 83. He also enjoyed bowling. Survivors include his children: Bonnie (Bill) Grimes of Phoenix, AZ; Sue (Jack) Palma of Grand Rapids; Jan (Mac) Beatson of Midlothian, TX; Linda (Tim) Hoffman of Burleson, TX; Cheryl (Ray) Bell of Allendale; Beth (Marv) Burger of Grand Rapids; Lori DeMars of Wyoming, MI; Ted (Mary) Bazany of Jenison; Dave (Margret) Bazany of Grand Haven; 15 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; and his brother Don (Barb) Constant of Grand Haven; 2 sisters-in-law, Retha Van Wieren and Ann Felber; 2 brothers-in-law, Ray E. and George (Shirley) Van Wieren; also nieces and nephews.
