Jack R. Kline's Obituary
Mr. Jack R. Kline, age 81, passed away Tuesday afternoon, June 1, 2010 in Muskegon. He was born in Chicago, IL on November 29, 1928 to Walter and Florence (Olson) Kline and had lived in Muskegon for most of his life. He was a veteran of the United States Army and had served during WWII. Mr. Kline had worked for GTE as a supply supervisor for 41 years before retiring in 1985. He was a member of the American Legion Post #9, was an avid golfer and enjoyed spending time outdoors. On March 16, 1963, in Muskegon, MI, Jack married the former Shirley Wantz and she survives him along with 4 children, Art (Judy) Kline, Mark (Kelley) Lawburgh, Mikalee (Charlie) Tazelaar and Robin (John) Fialek; 8 grandchildren, Lindsay, Nathen, Hillary, Charlie, Nicole, Amanda, Dylan and Derek; 1 great-grandson, Korben; 1 brother, Donald Kline; 1 sister, Joyce (Clarence) Vanas; special nephew and niece, John and Cindy Kline and special friends, Darryl and Sally Hibbs. He was preceded in death by 1 sister and 2 brothers. SERVICES will be 10:00 AM Friday at The Lee Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 6291 S. Harvey St. 231-798-1100 with Pastor Jerry Whitman officiating. VISITATION will be one hour prior to the service. INTERMENT will be in Sunrise Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations to VNS Hospice would be appreciated.
