Mr. Jacob James Ruiter's Obituary
Mr. Jacob James Ruiter, age 26, passed away unexpectedly Friday, March 27, 2015 in Grand Haven. He was born in Muskegon on June 6, 1988 to Robert Lee and Tamara Lee (Tate) Ruiter, Jr. and was a descendant of the Little River Band of Ottawa Indians. Jacob was a team leader for Gentex Corporation. He was a previous student at Grand Valley State University and was currently two classes away from earning his computer science degree from Cornerstone University. Jacob loved animals, especially his cats that he rescued from local shelters. He enjoyed music, especially playing the guitar, riding his motorcycle, and hunting with his grandparents. He will be deeply missed by his loving parents, Robert and Tammy Ruiter; his brother, Tyler Francis Ruiter; his grandparents, Robert and Patricia Ruiter, Sr. and Sandra Tate; and by several aunts, uncles and cousins. Jacob was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Jim and Rosalie Hardenburgh, James and Minnie Ruiter, Francis and Violet Janes and Frank and Becky Luhman. A MEMORIAL SERVICE for Jacob will be held 11:00 AM Friday, April 3, 2015 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., 231-798-1100 with Rev Don Wood officiating.
