Jacob Alexander Zagaroli's Obituary
Jacob Alexander Zagaroli, age 34, passed away surrounded by family on August 5, 2019, in Orlando, Florida. Jacob is survived by his loving wife, Katherine (Walton) Zagaroli, parents, Michael and Jeniffer (Gorbach) Zagaroli, and three siblings, Michael Zagaroli, Joseph Zagaroli, and Carly Zagaroli. Jacob is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and two Labrador Retrievers, Macy and Lincoln. Jacob attended Forest Hills Central High School in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and Edison College in Naples, Florida. He achieved his dream of one day marrying his high school sweetheart and love of his life, Katie, on July 13, 2019, surrounded by the closest of friends and family at his favorite golfer’s home course, Arnold Palmer’s Bay Hill Club & Lodge. He loved the outdoors, particularly in Big Sky, Montana, and in the West of Ireland, where he shared many wonderful excursions to his family cottage in Tully Cross. Jacob was a “foodie”, an avid golfer, fisherman, snowboarder, skateboarder, cook (crème brûlée extraordinaire), and Notre Dame Fighting Irish sports fanatic. Jacob sang his way through life, had a wonderful and charming sense of humor, and loved those who loved him dearly. A Funeral Mass honoring Jacob will be held at St. Roberts of Newminster Parish in Ada, Michigan at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 15, 2019. A visitation with the family will be held at the church for one hour prior to the mass. A Celebration of Jacob’s life will be held at Watermark Country Club in Cascade, Michigan, immediately following the mass. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Colon Cancer Coalition at coloncancercoalition.org.
