Jacob Gilbert Strohm's Obituary
Mr. Jacob Gilbert Strohm, age 85, passed away Wednesday, May 11, 2011, at Hackley Hospital. He was born March 6, 1926 in Sparta, MI to Herbert and Violet (Gilbert) Strohm and lived in the area most of his life. On February 14, 1948, he married the former Violet Wood in Sparta and she survives him. He worked for 36 years at Shaw-Walker Company in the production line. SURVIVORS include his wife, Violet; 6 children, June (Mark) Black, Kenneth Strohm, Diane (Jim) Giles, Paula Corlew, Bruce (Patricia) Strohm, Steven Strohm; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren , including special grandson, John (Gundula) Strohm. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother, and 2 sisters. In keeping with Jacob’s wishes, a private service will take place.
