Mrs. Jacqueline A. Erb's Obituary
Mrs. Jacqueline Adelina McCulley Erb, age 88 years, passed away Thurs. afternoon, Sept. 17, at Sanctuary at McAuley Nursing Home in Muskegon. She was born Jan. 12, 1927 in Muskegon and lived most of her life in the Muskegon area. She was married on Aug. 19, 1945 in Muskegon to Donald Edmund Erb who preceded her in death on May 24, 1972. She had one sister, Colleen D. McCulley Hillard who also preceded her in death on Aug. 6, 1983. We, her children, remember Mom best working in her flower garden which she loved. Her beautiful flowers covered most of the yard and were greatly admired by her neighbors and friends. In her golden years she served as assistant teacher for the Muskegon Foster Grandparents many years and received many awards and certificates for her time spent with children. She is survived by her three adopted children: Mrs. Kenneth Miller (Judy) of Amarillo, Texas; Mrs. Carl Schaefer (Denise) of Muskegon; and her loving son, Joseph D. Erb at home; her sister's husband, Robert R. Hillard; 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-granddaughter. The Funeral Service for Mrs. Erb will be held at 1:00pm Tuesday, Sept. 22nd at The Sytsema Chapel, 737 E. Apple Ave., (231) 726-5210, with Pastor Aaron Gregory officiating. Interment will be in Egelston Township Cemetery, Muskegon. There will be 1 hour of visitation prior to the service.
