Jacqueline Joan Novakowski's Obituary
Mrs. Jacqueline Joan “Jackie” Novakowski, age 88, passed away at her home in Spring Lake on Thursday, September 8, 2022. She was born in Grand Rapids on February 6, 1934 to Charles and Mary Louise (Potter) Palmer. Jackie was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She enjoyed sewing, cross stich, reading, gardening, raising her children, and being a homemaker. On August 19, 1954, Jackie married Jackie “Jack” Novakowski and he preceded her in death on March 15, 2018. She is survived by one son, Steve (Leslie) Borgman; daughters, Stephanie (Gene Bohner) Vasquez and Mary (Karl Anderson) Workman; daughter-in-law, Sue Novakowski; 13 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; sister-in-law, Vickie (Jerry) Tripp; and brother-in-law, Bob Sluis. In addition to her husband, Jackie was preceded in death by two sons, Ray Novakowski and Mike Novakowski; brother, Mickey Herrington; and two sisters-in-law, Pat Sluis and Joyce Karlson. According to her wishes, cremation has taken place and no services will be held.
