Jacqueline L. Pixley's Obituary
Jacqueline Lynn Pixley, age 87, passed away on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, in Muskegon, MI. Jackie was born in Muskegon on April 7, 1935, to her parents George and Blanche (Little) Shunk. She graduated from Muskegon High School and went on to work for General Telephone for 30 years, retiring in 1986. On September 25, 1956, she married Lloyd Pixley, and they spent 66 wonderful years together until he preceded her in death in 2012. Jackie and Lloyd were a part of an Airstream Touring Group, a club that they had many fond memories traveling with throughout the United States. Jackie also enjoyed sewing and collecting dolls. Jackie will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Toni Pixley; three grandsons: Bradley, Benjamin, and Samuel; one great-grandson, Isaac; three bonus grandkids: Emily, Nate, and Ryan; brother, Jerry Shunk; son in-law, Steve (Charlotte) Meyers; and assorted nieces and nephews. Jackie was preceded in death by her parents, George and Blanche Shunk; husband, Lloyd Pixley; daughter, Kriss Meyers; and sister in-law, Betty Shunk. Per Jackie’s request no funeral service is being held. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made out to The Wounded Warrior Project or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
