Jacqueline M. "Jackie" Wilson's Obituary
Jacqueline M. “Jackie” Wilson died on December 7, 2023, at the age of 98. She was born April 20, 1925, to Claus and Marie (Wills) Borchers and lived in the Tri-Cities all her life. She married Hazen Wilson on May 10, 1946, at the Methodist Church in Grand Haven. Hazen preceded her in death on January 27, 2002.
Jackie was a member of the Nortonville Gospel Chapel and active in the Mission Circle. She also was a past member of the Tri-Cities Garden Club, and a life member of the VFW 2026 Auxiliary. Jackie enjoyed gardening, traveling, crafts, and cooking. Mostly she enjoyed her family and friends.
Jackie is survived by four daughters: Kay (Dion) Chilberg of Casa Grande, AZ, Barbara Ryan of Spring Lake, MI, Penny (Roger) Babb of Key West, FL, Paula (Steve) Padar of Simpsonville, SC; and daughter-in-law, Kim Wilson of El Paso, TX. Jackie is also survived by seven grandchildren: Scott (Ellen) Vanderplow, Steven Vanderplow, Stacey (Nelson) Mendez, Christopher Babb, Gregory Johnson, Daniel Wilson, and Katelyn Wilson; great grandchildren, Reece Vanderplow, George Asimakopolous, Mia Mendez, and Jacob Mendez; two sisters, Sally Chittenden, and Donna Vargo, both of Spring Lake; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hazen; only son, Patrick Wilson; granddaughter, Jennifer Johnson; son-in-law, Jon Ryan; brother, Paul Borchers; and sisters, Dolores Hohloch and Ethel Kelley.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at the Nortonville Gospel Chapel (14528 Leonard Rd, Spring Lake, MI 49456), with visitation one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Jackie’s honor may be given to the American Stroke Association, Trinity Health at Home Hospice of Grand Haven, or Nortonville Gospel Chapel.
