Jacquelynn Doreen Peterson's Obituary
Jacquelynn (Jackie) Peterson, age 80, born March 29, 1933, passed away at home on July 18, 2013 with her loving family around her, losing her 3 year battle with Pulmonary Fibrosis Disease. She was born to Grace (Rawdon) and Wellington "Coffee" Crawford in Muskegon. She married Jack "Pete" Peterson on July 30, 1955. Our parents were what love, marriage and a family should be. She was met at the pearly gates by her Heavenly Father, which was always her goal and beside Him, were her parents, our dad (2009), our brother Brian (1971) and her daughter-in-law Sue (2008). She was a stay at home mom who lovingly devoted herself to our family. When we were older, she worked at Witmark in the jewelry department. She loved baking, cooking, working in her yard and decorating her home, but her family always came first. She was a member of Lakeshore Baptist Church in Grand Haven, where she loved to sing in the choir. She was the anchor of our family and we will miss her every day. We sure had a lot of fun, didn't we mom! She leaves behind her daughter Debbie Peterson; 3 sons, Kim (Vicki), Scott (Cheri), Todd (Sandy); along with 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson; 2 sisters, Darlyene Swarts and Billie (Jim) Klenk, and many nieces & nephews. A special thanks to Harbor Hospice, who gave us so much help in so many ways. The FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., (231) 798-1100, with Pastor Hal Pearson officiating. Visitation with the family will be held on Monday 6-8 and 1 hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be given to the family or to Harbor Hospice.
