James A. "Jimmy" Gillespie's Obituary
James (Jimmy) Allan Gillespie, born September 12, 1963, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on July 7, 2023. James loved his family and had a zest for life. He always had a positive outlook and thankful spirit. He enjoyed being outdoors, listening to music, feeding the birds, and playing games (especially if he was winning).
James will be lovingly remembered by his mother Louise Gillespie, son David Cale, sisters Lora Reyes, Sheri (Felix) Weglarz, Patti Schulz-Gerhart, brother John (Sherri) Gillespie, grandchildren Caleb, Rihanna, Kayla, Mia, Sophia, and extended family of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
His immediate family will have a private memorial service. Though we are sad and heartbroken, we are rejoicing because Jimmy is in heaven walking with Jesus.
Psalm 23: “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures, He leads me beside the still waters, He restores my soul. He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil for thou art with me, your rod and your staff they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies, you anoint my head with oil, my cup runs over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever”.
Arrangements have been entrusted to The Sytsema Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 737 E. Apple Ave., Muskegon, MI 49442.
