James Edward Beckman's Obituary
James E. “Jim” Beckman, age 71, passed away Friday, November 19, 2021. He was born November 4, 1950 in Muskegon to Floyd and Rosemarie (Kraus) Beckman. He graduated from Hesperia High School and earned his bachelors degree in accounting from Ferris State Unveristy. Jim worked as a Certified Public Accountant for 711 Stores for 25 years before his retirement. He currently worked for Beckman Brothers in Shelby the past 16 years. On April 26, 1980, he married Janet K. Manley in Anderson, IN and she survives him. He is also survived by 5 sisters, Judy (Gordie) Grimm, Joan Roberts, Deb (Steve) Neinas, Vikke (Bob) Longcore, Mary (Jim Bozell) Carlson; and 2 brothers-in-law, Ronald (Loretta) Manley and Mark Lambert; 1 sister-in-law, Jackie Cornfield; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, Robert and Mick Beckman, and 2 sisters, Jean Morris and Rosemary Lambert. A Celebration of Life will take place 11am-1pm on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 with a brief prayer service at 11:30am at The Valkyrie, 1900 Ruddiman Dr., North Muskegon.
