James R. "Jim" Blomquist's Obituary
James R. “Jim” Blomquist, age 74 of Grand Haven passed away Thursday, May 31, 2018, at Robbinswood Assisted Living. He was born March 18, 1944, in Grand Haven to Donald and Helen (Klintworth) Blomquist, and married Bonnie Kathleen Schosso on September 10, 1994, in Florida.
Jim served his country in the Army during the Vietnam war. He owned and operated his own construction company Blomquist Construction, and worked for Consumers Concrete. Jim loved golfing, Jimmy Buffet, sitting in the sun, going to concerts, and most of all socializing and being around people.
He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Bonnie Kathleen Blomquist of Grand Haven; daughter, Becky (Mike) Mattson of Grand Haven; step-daughter, Kim (Steve Wabindato) Schosso of Muskegon; step-son, Dan (Gloria) Schosso of Muskegon; two grandchildren, Danny Schosso and Dean Mattson; two great-grandchildren, Gavin and Chloe Schosso; and his brother, Bob (Colleen) Blomquist of Grand Haven. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his nephew, Steve Blomquist.
