Jim and I worked together in the energy group at National Bank Detroit. He was by far my favorite boss. To this day, I tell stories about Jim to those who knew him.

My favorite story is Barb‘s comment when their fourth daughter was born that there would be no James Luis Caldwell the fifth

Jim and I shared several passions: fly fishing, skiing and bird hunting. He was always up for marketing trips to Texas and we enjoyed many good trips to the Hill country with clients for quail hunts.
Jim, I have missed you and thought about you often over the last 20 years. See you on the other side, Jimbo.

Will miss Jim's smiling persona a lot. Once I asked his advice on how to fix my fence: within an hour he was outside my house fixing it! Duct tape and Gorrila glue. Thanks Jim, for your big smile and bigger heart ❤️

Dear Barb and Family,
What a joy it was to play bocce with Jim on the Seaside 3 team, and to be his neighbors! He was always so genuine, cheerful, direct, honest, and funny, whether in competition or just around the community. He had such a great love of life that it is very hard to believe that he is no longer with us. We will miss him very much.

Dear Barb and Family,

Jim will be greatly missed in Seaside lll. He invariably had a smile on his face, a twinkle in his eye and was always ready with a quick joke and a helping hand to friends and neighbors.
Two of our favorite memories of Jim: One was his reveling in completing his "third fitness task of the day" by swinging his hammer to unstick one of our stubborn windows; the other, was his recent sweet St. Patty's Day rendition on the ukelele.

Always looked forward to talking with Jim at pickleball or anytime.
. He always had concern for others and made playing with or against him just plain fun. Life was never about himself.
