Always looked forward to talking with Jim at pickleball or anytime.
. He always had concern for others and made playing with or against him just plain fun. Life was never about himself.
I played pickleball with Jim’s men’s morning group at Pelican Sound. As the only woman in the men’s group Jim was always such a gentleman and was a delight to play games with. I looked forward to visiting with him every year at “winter camp”. He will be missed greatly. 🐭
We can't express enough how sorry we are for your loss of such a kind and loving man. Our favorite attribute Jimbo showed us all was his relentless love of life and his perseverance battling these trying times. A great memory is the four of us playing pickleball and Jim forging ahead not wanting to stop though he was short of breath. He never complained just stated, "Hold on a minute! I just need a little rest!" He would sit for five to ten minutes of conversation and then that infectious smile would come across his face and off he went to play again. He was a wonderful friend who will always be in our hearts.

Dear Barb and the girls,
I am so, so sorry to hear that you have lost Jim. He was for certain one of the good guys!!!
I have many memories of Jim and Barb as dedicated parents and school supporters for their four beautiful Quarton Elementary School daughters. But my most recent memory was running into Barb and Jim at Lake Sumter in The Villages, Florida. What a wonderful surprise to see you at the dance in the square.
Fondly, Janice Matthews
