James P. Donohue's Obituary
James P. Donohue, age 63, passed away Sunday, February 12, 2023, after an enduring battle with diabetes. He was born on November 10, 1959, to Paul and Diolinda (DaSilva) Donohue in Muskegon, MI and has remained a lifelong resident. James graduated from Reeths-Puffer High School class of 1978. He dedicated 22 years to Muskegon Community College where he worked as a maintenance engineer. In his earlier years, he enjoyed spending his time roller skating, playing volleyball or tennis. He had a tender heart for animals, especially dogs. He loved spending his time playing or walking his pup, Curly Doo. Above all, he cherished the moments spent with his family. He will be remembered as a loving brother, fun uncle, and dear friend to so many. His outgoing and fun-loving spirit will truly be missed. James is survived by his siblings, Gloria Sikkenga (Mark Aker), Richard (Carol) Donohue, Donna (Frank) Sali and Paul Donohue; nieces, Paula J. (Phil) Sogard, Brenda L. Bice, Karla L. (Rory) Rought, Maria G. (Jeff) Salisbury and Diolinda E. Sali; nephews, Jamie (Jenn) Sampson, Scott (Melanie) Dodge and Mike Fialek; and numerous great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; niece, Cyndi L. Fialek; and nephews, Robbie Sampson and Dave Brown. A Graveside Service will be held at 3:00PM on Thursday, February 16, 2023 at Laketon Township Cemetery, 620 Horton Rd., Muskegon, MI 49445.
