James E. Dyer's Obituary
Mr. James E. Dyer, age 83, passed away on Thursday, March 2, 2017 in Muskegon. He was born on November 26, 1933 in Twin Lake to William and Elsie (Reynolds) Dyer, and resided in the area his entire life. Jim was a Veteran of the Michigan National Guard. He worked at Neway Equipment for 33 years, before retiring in 1994. Jim was also a very active member of Trinity Baptist Church, and enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing, and wood working. On May 26, 1956, he married the former Shirley Rich, and they celebrated 58 years of marriage together before she preceded him in death on January 6, 2014. SURVIVORS include four children, Robert (Delene) Dyer of Muskegon, Janet (Steve) Murawski of Houston, TX, Larry (Michelle) Dyer of Twin Lake and David (fiancee, Debra Davis) Dyer also of Twin Lake; six grandchildren, Mark (Jessica), Michael, and Nathan (Amanda) Dyer, Nicholas Murawski, and Jennifer and Jessica Dyer; six great-grandchildren; sister, Dorine Lamb of Muskegon, and step-sister, Patricia (Yaughn) Deardorff of Washington. Jim was also preceded in death by his step-brother, Mark Berringer, and step-sister, Shelley Dyer. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be 11 AM Monday, March 6, 2017 at the Trinity Baptist Church, (4381 S. Sheridan Dr.) with Pastor Scott Church officiating. VISITATION with the family will be one hour prior to the service, from 10-11AM.
