Mr. James A. Fairbanks' Obituary
Mr. James A. Fairbanks, age 71, passed away Sunday, August 27, 2017 at the Poppen Residence. James was born December 20, 1945, in Cadillac, MI to Sewell J. and Ida Fairbanks. Jim had been employed at Northern Fiber and Birchwood Nursing Home in Marne prior to his retirement in 1998. He enjoyed watching his sons race at Winston, Thunderbird, I-96 Speedway and other local tracks. Jim also enjoyed camping and loved spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his children; Steven (Annette) Fairbanks of Twin Lake, James (Gina) Fairbanks of Coopersville, MI, Tanya Fairbanks of Mt. Pleasant, TN, and Timothy Fairbanks of Linden, TN; 4 grandchildren, Alisha Nicole (Robert) Metz, Rebecca Jayne, Makenna Skye, and Jaxton James Fairbanks; and several nieces and nephews. Jim was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Sally Joe; and his former wife, Paula. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 AM Friday, September 1, 2017 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S.
