James W. "Jim" Froberg's Obituary
James W. “Jim” Froberg, age 66, of Spring Lake passed away Monday June 26, 2023, at home. He was born August 5, 1956, in Benton Harbor, MI to James Arthur Albin and Betty Jean (Richey) Froberg. He married Lorri Teachout in 1979 and they renewed their vows in 1991. Lorri preceded him in death on October 28, 2011.
Jim worked at Johnson Control in Holland (formerly Prince Corporation) before retiring in 2012. He was a member of Holland LIFTC Church where he ran the sound for services. Jim also loved to play hockey and teach his grandchildren about the sport. He also ran his own sound studio, which he enjoyed.
He is lovingly remembered by his daughter, Katherine (Dave) Matthews; son, Benjamin Zink; seven grandchildren: Noah, Levi, Judah, Abigail, Josephine, Samuel and Ezra; and his sister, Susie Topp. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Sally Ann Dennison and his brother-in-law, Mike Topp.
