James William Fulton's Obituary
James William (Jim) Fulton, age 82, passed away Thursday, December 7, 2023, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born October 22, 1941, in Muskegon, MI to Raymond and Mabel Fulton. He graduated from Muskegon Heights High School in 1960 and went on to receive a Master’s Degree in Education from Western Michigan University. On July 23, 1966, Jim married his life’s love, Judi Bench.
Jim had a passion for teaching and taught for Orchard View Schools for 34 years. During Jim’s life, he was able to travel the world extensively and take his family to every state of the union. Jim loved hunting and fishing adventures throughout the wilderness of Canada and Alaska. When not travelling, Jim loved golfing with friends throughout Michigan, and spending time at the family cabin on Little Bass Lake. “Pappo” had a deep love for his grandkids and never missed an opportunity to be part of their busy lives.
Jim was a proud member of the Vikings, White Lake Eagles, Fremont Moose, lifetime member of Muskegon Elks, and spent 25 years as an Old Newsboy, and many other charitable organizations.
Jim will be dearly missed by his wife, Judi; sons, Jason (Tricia) Fulton of Knoxville, TN and Joel (Kristi) Fulton of Muskegon; grandchildren, Carter Fulton, Madison Fulton, Nicholas Fulton and Jordan Fulton. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Judith Pitawanakwat.
A CELEBRATION OF LIFE will be held on Saturday, January 13th, 2024, from 12:00 – 3:00 at the Vikings Lodge at 3132 Lakeshore Dr. Muskegon.
