James "Jim" A. Schubert's Obituary
Mr. James A. “Jim” Schubert, age 75, passed away on Sunday, November 15, 2020 in Muskegon. He was born in Grand Haven on March 4, 1945 to James and Catherine “Babe” (Vanbogelen) Schubert. Jim was a Veteran having served his country in the US Army. He worked at Lyons Transportation for over 20 years before retiring. Jim was a member of St. Albans Episcopal Church, Teamsters Local 406, and the American Legion Post #28 in Grand Haven. He was a fan and enjoyed watching NASCAR races; and of his antique Monte Carlo and Chevy Nova. On October 27, 1990 he married the former Jeanne Dunbar, and she survives him in death along with his son, Tyson Schubert; granddaughter, Madeline Schubert; brothers, Brad (Toni) Schubert of Fruitport, Mitchell (Linda) Schubert of Missouri; and sister, Gwen Andersen of Spring Lake; along with many nieces and nephews. Jim was preceded in death by his parents; step-father, Virgil Morris; brother, Terry Schubert; and sisters, Jenny Lynn Schubert and Kimberly Rae Schubert. There will be no services.
