James Edward Tobin Jones' Obituary
Mr. James Edward Tobin Jones, age 79, passed away in Muskegon, Michigan on Monday, November 10, 2025. He was born in Muskegon on June 4, 1946 to James and Dorothy (Tobin) Jones. Jim was employed by GTE for 27 years prior to his retirement. He was a lifetime member of the Muskegon Eagles. Jim enjoyed working with his hands, tinkering with projects around the house, and restoring old cars; he still has the first car he restored, a 1930 Model A named “Ladybug”. He also took great pride in the home on Middle Lake that he built for his family. On June 22, 1968, Jim married the former Lynda Jean Veihl in Muskegon and she preceded him in death on April 23, 2019. Jim is survived by his children, Michelle (Rick) Stafford, Michael (Jennifer Jendritz) Jones, and Matthew (Traci) Jones; 10 grandchildren, Brenna (Kyle), Ashley (Chris), Hannah, Allison, Lauren, Matthew, Holly (Cory), Kendall, Adam, and Raelyn; three great-grandchildren, Iris, Bear, and Oakley; his brother, Thomas Jones; and his beloved dogs and buddies, Sammy and Max. According to his wishes, cremation has taken place, and a private graveside service will happen at a later date.
