James E. "Jim" Knoth's Obituary
James E. “Jim” Knoth, age 88, passed away Friday morning, March 1, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on October 23, 1935, to Erwin and Eugina (Martin) Knoth in Newaygo, MI. He graduated from Montague High School and continued his education at Western Michigan University where he earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration. On Jan 12, 1957, he married the love of his life, Beverly “Ann” Pruitt in Whitehall, MI. Together they cherished 62 years filled with love and laughter. Jim was a longtime member of 1st Congregational Church in Whitehall. He was a gun enthusiast and part of the Fox Lake Gun Club. Jim had a passion for being outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He will be missed dearly by so many. Jim is survived by his children, Jim Knoth and Sharon Kight; three grandchildren, Justin (Nicole) Knoth, Derek (Stephanie) Knoth and Brent (Jessica) Knoth; seven great-grandchildren; twin brother, Gene Knoth and brother, David Knoth; three sisters, Rosemary (Larry) Stockwell, Carol Armstrong and Anita (Mark) Boyd; sister-in-law, Irene Knoth; and many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Ann Knoth; brother, Wayne Knoth; sister-in-law, Vivian Knoth; daughter-in-law, Tracy (Mahoney) Knoth; and son-in-law, Clifford “Cookie” Kight.
