James Alan Kramer's Obituary
James Alan Kramer, age 74, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, December 5, 2018. He was born on January 28, 1944 to Louis and Edna (Holland) Kramer in Muskegon. On August 22, 1964, he married Mary Lou Michele. Jim attended Calvary Church in Muskegon and worked for SAF Holland as a welder and truck driver until his retirement in 2003. He was a great husband and father, always putting family first. Jim enjoyed snowmobiling, salmon fishing, dune buggies and spending time at the family cottage on Big Star Lake. Some of his many hobbies included following NASCAR, attending car shows and planning road trips. Jim is survived by his wife, Mary Lou; along with two sons, James (Lenna Gee) Kramer and Mark (Lisa) Kramer; 6 grandchildren, Adam, Ben, Nick, Chris, Eric and Katriana; great-grandson, Brayden; sister, Donna (Gus) Gurzynski; and good friend, Ken Norwood. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Mary Hazekamp. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 12 noon, Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at Calvary Church (1070 Quarterline Rd.) with Pastor Bill Rudd officiating. VISITATION with the family will be Monday from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., 231-798-1100, and one hour prior to the service at church.
