James Orville Land's Obituary
James Orville Land, age 72, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, July 19, 2022. He was born May, 24, 1950 in Tecumseh, Michigan, to Orville and Mary (Toht) Land. After graduating from high school, James joined the Army and served several tours in Vietnam. Upon return to the Stateside, he worked for Integrated Metal Technologies in Spring Lake for many years. When not working, James loved to go fishing and hunting, especially with his good friend, Phil Smith. James will be missed by his son, Brandon Land; daughter, Amy (Cody) VanderSlute; grandchildren, AunaLeiha and Anya Land, Ava Romanelli and Rylee VanderSlute; brother, Jack (Pam) Land; sisters, Judy Land and Marie Ealy; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, the Adam Shumaker family. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, John Sayers. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 25, 2022, at The VanZantwick Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 620 Washington Ave., Grand Haven, MI 49417.
