James Edward Michels' Obituary
James Edward Michels age 99, of Ravenna, MI died, Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at St. Mary’s Hospital.
James was born on May 16, 1918 in Muskegon, MI to the late John E. and Mildred (Kitchen) Michels.
He married Arlene V. (Bitson) Michels on August 2, 1937 and she preceded him on Death on February 21, 2002. He was a long time member of Twisting trails snowmobile club. He worked at Teledyne Continental Motors for 30 years.
James is survived by 2 Sons: James (Sue) Michels and Larry Michels, 1 Daughter: Mickey Maycroft all of Ravenna. Numerous Grandchildren, Great-Grandchildren and Great-Great-Grandchildren. 1 Sister: Marion Grenell of Whitehall. 1 Sister in-law: Kay Phillips of Hart and 1 Son in-law: Carl Harris of Ravenna. Nieces and Nephews also survive.
Funeral Services for James E. Michels will be conducted on Monday, December 11, 2017 at 12:00pm at the Throop Funeral Home of Ravenna with Pastor Carl Black officiating. Burial will be in Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
The family will be at the funeral home on Monday, December 11, 2017 from 10:00am until the time of service to greet friends.
