Mr. James Daniel Morgan's Obituary
James Daniel Morgan, age 86, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Aug 5, 2014. James was born on October 15, 1927 to Dan and Louise Morgan in Grand Rapids, MN. Before his 18th birthday James left and joined the US Navy. After his time in the Navy, he found work at Grand Trunk Railroad, in which he remained until his retirement in the late 1980’s. James was a very active individual, even in his later years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, sports, traveling, golf and a good game of cribbage. He was a sharp, quick-witted, intelligent, loving, genuine individual who will be deeply missed. He is SURVIVED by his 6 children, Karolyn (Jim) Madison, Audrey (Rick) Wendt, Charles (Teresa) Morgan, Greg Woodring, Kenneth (Kay) Woodring and Judith (Mike) Brown; 22 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren; and was blessed with a few great-great grandchildren; and his brother, Richard (Doris) Morgan. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Peggy (Willea); his second wife of over 40 years, Eloise; daughter, Nancy Morgan; brothers, Roland, Gerald and an infant brother; sisters, June Carlson and Karolyn Boyer. Private family services will be held.
