James Edward "Jim" Muzyczuk's Obituary
James Edward “Jim” Muzyczuk, age 77, of Robinson Township passed away Saturday, June 3, 2023, at home after a short battle with cancer. He was born Christmas Day 1945, to Edward Joseph and Lottie Frances (Sodlowski) Muzyczuk. He married Diane Kamps-Lewis on August 9, 1997, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Grand Haven. Jim served his country in the Air Force. He owned and operated Creative Carpentry, specializing in interior contracting. Jim was a member of St. Patrick – St. Anthony Catholic Church, gold member of the Grand Haven Eagles Aerie # 925 and the Charles A. Conklin American Legion Post # 28. He loved spending time with his family, camping, boating, watching car racing of any kind, riding his motorcycle and had a love of music. He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Diane Muzyczuk; four daughters: Debra “Deb” (Phil) Carlton, Jamie Muzyczuk, Jenny (Jason) Muzyczuk and Jessica (Kacey) Jones; son, Jereme Lewis; thirteen grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and his sister, Marianne (Ed) Smith. He was preceded in death by his parents, granddaughter, Jessica Lubbers and numerous other family members. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 15, 2023, at St. Patrick – St. Anthony Catholic Church with Rev. Charles Schwartz as celebrant. Friends may meet the family one hour prior to the Mass at church. Military honors will be accorded Jim by the Charles A. Conklin American Legion Post # 28 Honor Guard.
