James E. "Jim" Naperalsky's Obituary
James E. Naperalsky, age 81, passed away Saturday, July 22, 2023 at Grand Pines Assisted Living in Grand Haven. He was born June 9, 1942 in Muskegon to Donald and Maxine (Miller) Naperalsky and was a lifelong resident of the area. He was a graduate of Muskegon Catholic Central High School Class of 1961. Jim married Judith A. Boseker on December 31, 1966 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Muskegon Heights and she survives him. Jim worked over 50 years at his family’s business Don Nap Service Center in Muskegon Heights and purchased the business from his dad in the 1980’s. He sold the business in 2004 when he retired. He was a member of St. Patrick-St. Anthony Catholic Community in Grand Haven. Jim and Judy were active with the Town Club Ballroom Dancers and also loved to attend area Polka Dances. They wintered in Brooksville, FL for many winters and took about a dozen cruises over the years. Jim was a talented wood worker, enjoyed gardening, fishing and his many shopping trips. The family wishes to extend their appreciation to Hospice of North Ottawa and to nurse Jocelyn at Grand Pines Assisted Living Center. Survivors include his loving wife, Judy Naperalsky; 3 daughters, Jeanine (Scott) Hamilton and their children, Joshua, Jacob and Aubree; Jennifer (Eric) Carey and their daughter, Jenna; Janette (Sam) Botello and their children, Noah and Lauren; 2 sisters, Judy Zack and Janice (David) Forsman. He was preceded in death by his parents, Don and Maxine Naperalsky; and 1 brother-in-law, Don Zack. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 AM Thursday at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 920 Fulton Avenue, Grand Haven, MI 49417, with the Rev. Daniel Schumaker presiding. Visitation will be held 5-8 PM Wednesday at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 Harvey St, Norton Shores, MI 49444. Entombment will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery Mausoleum in Muskegon.
